The Operation G-string

Hello everyone. My name is Rob Astle. First thing first, please don't let the name of this blog confuse you. Operation G-string is not about a bunch of lovely women strutting around half naked. My goal is to let everyone know what I am seeing, feeling, and thinking. I live in Las Vegas so most of what I will be blogging about will have to do with the happenings in this "interesting" town. I will be the first to admit that I did not come up with the "Operation G-string" title. A few years ago some local council members were convicted of taking bribes and kickbacks from a strip club owner. The owner wanted to build the world's finest strip club and was having problems with zoning. Without going into a whole lot of detail. the FBI nailed everyone involved, the strip club was never built and the local press deemed it "Operation G-String".

It is old news and I didn't have a thing to do with it. The name just stuck in my head. I ran through a list of names on what I should call this blog. "Operation G-string" would not go away. The name matches the town well.

Whomever chooses to read this blog can expect a few things from me. 1. Informative- I will do my best to give everyone a street level view of what its like to live in Las Vegas. 2. Humorous- I don't like to focus on the bad things. There are way to many people doing that. I will try to keep the focus on light-hearted material.  The goal is to "showcase" Las Vegas not be critical of her. 3. Opportunities- I have always believed that your best "opps" appear when things are changing. People from the Midwest always ask me what Las Vegas is really like. I give them all the same answer. "It's resetting". I am going to share a few ideas with people about what I think might be relevant in the future. I have been wanting to do a blog on Vegas for quite some time. I just wasn't quite sure how to do it. I think I have finally figured it out..I hope everyone is having a wonderful fall.. Stay tuned I will have my first official blog soon..Rob
